Lufthansa Boeing 737-130 D-ABEB "Regensburg"

This is the first 737 delivered from Boeing, and it went to Lufthansa on December 27th 1967. At the same date also a second 737-130 D-ABEC was delivered. The aircraft was named after "Regensburg", a city of around 145,000 inhabitants which is sited 120 km north of Munich in Bavaria, Germany. The aircraft served by Lufthansa until August 1981, when it was sold to Far Eastern Air Transport in Taiwan. It stayed in the ownership of FAT for almost 15 years as B-2621 - only in a period of around four months it was out of use because of some maintenance problems (Dec. 1992 - April 1993 on CAA Taiwan's order). In June 1996 FAT sold the aircraft to Aero Continente/Magnicharters of Mexico. Three months later it appears in the Aruba Registry as P4-ASA for Aero Continente, and there it stayed until July 2000. Since 2000 it has been registered in the Peruvian Registry as OB-1745 for Aero Continente and was seen in storage earlier this year at Lima Airport. By July 2002 it was no longer stored at Lima Airport - if it's in use or even worse has happen to it, I don't know today. If you know more about the fate of this aircraft, please contact us at comments@plane-spotter.com.
I will use the opportunity to thank Deutsche Lufthansa AG and the helpful people by their company archives that provided me with copies of their original design drawings and logo files.
