There were two teams in action at Stockholm-Airport Arlanda. There was the work party that sweated inside and then there was the happy-go-lucky party consisting of our apprentice and our historian. They spent the first part of the day walking from terminal to terminal on a quest to a perfectly clean window or an opening in the fences that would fit a lens. They gave up when they got to Terminal 3 and then headed for the Spotter Pavilion along the so-called Third Runway. The Third Runway is more of a rush hour feature and once the morning rush dies down, there really isn’t all that much traffic. But they are a persistent duo and stayed out in the sun well into the afternoon – so it’s not only mad dogs and Englishmen that stay out in the midday sun. Overtaken by hunger and with the wind having turned, the brave duo returned to Terminal 5. They remained indoors until it was time to leave for London City.

The photos below is the catch of the day.

On their way to Pier F they finally saw the plane that was to carry all of us to London City Airport. The question was then why it was parked at Gate F29 and the departure boards said "Go to gate 59"? The answer to this can be found here.
